so what have you been doing?

i can tell you a few things ive been up to since last posting...
i found proof that jesus was black, and in a dollar store in utah, nonetheless. behold the black jesus gift bag. my dad was the lucky recipient at xmas.

next i flew to jxvlle florida for xmas where i witnessed the dead santa floating in my mothers pool, above. someone filled in as you can see, we still got presents.
i gained some weight, seeing as how this is what my mother considers breakfast:

poor dear gramps. he died jan 1, 2008. i got to see him tho for xmas and his last birthday.
i went up to nyc to see best friends little one. goes by h2e. darling. we're both trying to figure each other out in this pic.
rock center xmas tree.
ny left me a little exhausted this time around. in fact i think i had a mini nerveous breakdown the day before i left. too much holiday stress plus too many things to do people to see in too little time plus grampas death took its toll. i was very happy to return home, to utah. i literally felt the anxiety disappear as i crossed over the rocky mtns. oh yeah, but before that i had a lay-over at chicago ohare where i had the misfortune to eat a turkey sandwich that almost killed me. o god was that awful. 7 hours of puking and diarrhea for days. at least it didnt hit me until i was home in bed. but i managed to lose all the weight i gained over the holidays...
school started. and i dont know if im loving it as much as last semester. art history survey II, painting II, life drawing & anatomy, silkscreen & relief printmaking, english 1010. its alot of work and i kindof fell behind because.. ..oh yeah, i got married:

vegas style. i refer to it now as the shotgun without the bun wedding. kb got hired and so we decided to get hitched so i can reap the benefits of being a pilots wife. originally we planned on a one day in vegas court house ceremony, just the 2 of us- , but i told my mother and 2 turned into 35, with a dress and gold shoes and a real wedding cake and reception dinner with toasts and everything. we had the ceremony at this place called the little church of the west: adorable. its las vegas' only historic landmark. all this done with a week and a half planning. i tell you vegas is designed for this kind of thing. it was wonderful. getting married is like all your birthdays wrapped into one day. even if it was just for the flight privileges.
we retuned home and had our mini honeymoon pizza party with perrier jouet:

and one week later my pilot husband is gone to st. louis for ground training. oh well.

i voted:

got in "big trouble" for taking this picture (below). all the ladies seated were sweethearts, its just that ball buster with the grey ponytail that wanted to see my credentials. apparantly i need a press pass to take photos in a voting area or some unamerican bullshit like that. so i fake-deleted the following pic.can you believe obama took utah?! this is very exciting news. i felt bad for not voting for my man kucinich, but he dropped out, right after i ordered the lawn sign... the bastard pocketed my 43 bucks. thats ok. hes still running for u.s. congressman.

since returning to utah ive been sticking to my gluten-free diet, more or less, honeymoon pizza excepting. with great results, well mostly. my skin cleared up until a few days ago. i dont know if im on the right track.

and heres my latest print, 2 colors in. its a 8 or 9 color reductive relief print, 20"x20". the color is kind of off in this photo... but its really the only thing im interested in lately...

here are some things im not doing:

the dishes
cleaning the bathroom sink

putting away my clothes (those are suitcases from christmas)

these are the suitcases from the wedding

and these are 2 random pictures i cant seem to delete, so you get to see the stack of material ive been collecting for 2 years+, thinking im going to learn how to sew...

and the kenny rogers, the gambler slot machine. at least i knew when to walk away, i only lost a couple bucks, well maybe 5...

so there you have it.
